Welcome to the Person Centred and Engagement Workshop, Hastings, Hawke’s Bay.
Join nationally recognised Researcher and Lecturer Dr Felicity Bright for this one day workshop that will challenge thoughts on how we are working person centred when we are constrained by contracts, scheduling, policy and practical approaches we can take to ensure a person centred focus and strong engagement.
Person centered session will focus on:
Exploring what person-centered care might look like in rehabilitation
Identifying the challenges in enacting person-centered care in the participant’s context
Developing strategies to manage the challenges of trying to be person-centered in a system that makes person-centered practice challenging
Engagement session will focus on:
Exploring what our clients say is important in engagement and therapeutic communication
Presenting a model of clinical communication
Introducing and practicing with a range of reflective tools which participants can use to reflect on their ways of engaging with people in rehabilitation
This workshop is sure to be educational, inspirational and a practical addition to professional development.
