Peer Support & Social Activities

We aim to provide opportunities for those with Brain Injury to participate in peer support, receive information and education about brain injury and create links to the community. To encourage and promote independence and ownership of the person’s journey following a Brain Injury.

Napier Dinner Group

Meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 6.00pm in the Library off the main bar at the Napier RSA. Attendees pay for their own meal or bar snack.

Napier Greendale Stroke Support Group

Meets on the second Wednesday of each month at Origin cafe in Gloucester St Taradale at 10.30am. There is no cost to join the group, however all members need to belong to Stroke Central Region, of which the group is a part of.

Central Hawke’s Bay Stroke Support Group

Meets on the fourth Thursday of the month at the Lily Pond Cafe in Waipukurau at 11.00am. The group has morning tea and a chat and informal meeting. The group can other support to people and their families as well as a listening ear.
